Nightfall PvE Beta Weekend Sept 1st??
Just had this months PC Format(sept 06) arrive, it has several features on GW and GW:Nightfall including a key for the Ch3 Beta Weekend.
"If you activate the GW trial on this months cover disk over the weekend of Sept 1st, you can sample Nightfalls PVE for yourself"..
Cool!

Very cool, I can't wait till September the 1st ! Maybe we won't need betakey anyway, like last time, maybe that is only for creating new accounts and existing get it anyway...

Hmmm, I'll have to see where to pick it up then, as scans of the magazine are always hard to track down and deleted fast on forums.

The upcoming September issue (#191) of UK magazine PC Format will be on shelves soon! Inside is a glorious two-page Nightfall spread featuring six exclusive screenshots, early details on the next campaign and a trial for the original Guild Wars Prophecies (10 hours or 14 days, whichever comes first).
|
As an added note, I'd like to point out that while a scan of a magazine is definitely copyright infringement, and will be deleted on sight, the same way we handled it during the Factions release (the article was from Computer Gaming World), summarizing it loosely in your own words is fine.
A sample used to be here:

But the post has since been updated with all of the future information, and it isn't really an example anymore.

It seems odd that they would do the pve weekend before the prerelease packs are due in stores. I liked having the bonus weapons on new characters during the Factions pve preview.

Now that would be a nice birthday present!
(Not to mention it's the weekend before school starts again...so nice timing Anet! .)
Btw, anyone knows why my www.eu.guildwars.com shows such small letters and stuff? (using internet explorer)

I was really expecting some major information in this magazine! Is the OP holding back?
|
If you read, you might notice that the magazine doesn not come out til August 11. Therefore I will assume that the OP doesnt have the magazine, just read the preview of it as I did. I might be misunderstanding it though.

I do have the mag, waves it in front of the monitor(subscription ftw). I can't do a scan etc but here's a snippet that I think will be ok. Mods feel free to remove of not. There's no content as such, so we may be ok
The cover is of Nika looking very smart.
It does'nt say much more than we know, but does mention it will cover off the Shiro/titan story arc.

ok, let me try
1, Branching quest structure, that gives you choices on how your own story progresses
2. Paragons seems to chosen by the Gods to Defend Elona
3. You can skill, equip and command henchies as you see fit.
Screenshot are of
1. A dervish fighting a bewinged demon, interesting thing is that the wings of the demon are shining white. Demon has six eyes with two rows of teeth, and looks to be what could be corrrupted paragon armor.
2. A tunisian/morrocan style city scape called Highlands of Elona
3. Hanging gardens of Babylon style cityscape

Ooooooo, exciting! From what I've seen of Nightfall so far, I like it. I have a better opinion of it at this point than I did of Factions at the same point in hype.

I'm genuinely curious about this one. Wonder how it will work if the chapters are supposed to be completely standalone. I'm definitely er.. acquiring a copy of said magazine.
